Through both her professional journey and personal experiences, Caroline Devereux has seen firsthand how even the most difficult challenges can lead to growth and empowerment. Her approach to counselling is rooted in creating a safe, judgment-free environment where clients can feel heard and supported. Whether working on short-term solutions or embarking on a longer therapeutic journey, Caroline tailors her approach to each individual, helping them discover opportunities for positive change.

Caroline is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adheres to their Ethical Framework for good practice. She is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends clinical supervision to ensure the highest standards of care. She is also fully DBS checked and holds Professional Civil Liability Insurance.

Qualifications and Experience

As an integrative counsellor, Caroline works with individuals of all ages, from young children to older adults, adapting her therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Her extensive training enables her to draw from a variety of techniques, including creative play for children and tailored counselling for adults and families.


Caroline has specialised in numerous areas, including:

  • Child Counselling: Using creative play and understanding children’s perspectives, with additional expertise in Autism and Child Sexual Abuse.
  • Family and Relationship Counselling: Helping couples and families navigate challenges with empathy and insight.
  • Bereavement: Compassionately supporting clients through loss, including the grief of losing a beloved pet, informed by her diploma in Pet Bereavement and work with Cruse Bereavement Care.
  • Sex and Pornography Addiction: Offering non-judgmental guidance to those facing addiction, supported by her Level 5 Diploma in Sex Addiction.
  • Trauma and Mental Health: Using techniques such as the Rewind Technique to address PTSD, anxiety, and other challenges.


Caroline’s broad experience encompasses issues like bereavement, attachment, divorce, abuse, self-esteem, self-harm, suicide, racial discrimination, safeguarding, LGBTQ matters, and exam pressures. Her compassionate understanding of bereavement is one of her strongest skill sets, informed by years of working with Cruse Bereavement Care.
